1 Corinthians 3:10-11 AMP "According to the [remarkable] grace of God which was given to me [to prepare me for my task], like a skillful master builder I laid a foundation, and now another is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ."
Elvis has left the building!
I remember that was announced after every completed concert when Elvis was void from the building. Elvis was known though for treating his fans exceptionly well. His "customer service" was excellent.
I wish I could say the same for some companies' customer service. For instance, I don't think a grocery chain ever checks on employees' and what kind of customer service they are exhibiting.
I wondered this when I brought all my groceries home and discovered my English muffins were missing. I called the store and told them. They said they would leave them at Customer Service desk. Right then, I left to return to the store.
When I checked in at Customer Service desk, the clerk told me she returned the item to refrigerated section. So then I had to walk all the way back to that section to get them.
This wouldn't have been so bad if I were a younger person, but it was difficult for me. My husband said he would have asked the clerk to get the item.
I remember the TV show about Company CEOs (Undercover Boss) would disguise themselves and call on their companies as customers. Surprisingly, most showed great customer service.
So I realize there is no true foundation other than Jesus Christ. I want to treat others the way I want to be treated. Do the right thing always without an audience, just the audience of One.
Thought no greater ending than Elvis' "Working on the Building!"
