The Beginning: A Vision Board Worthy

Psalms 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.”

In a few Hallmark movies, they featured a “memory board” or “vision board”. A couple movies I remember watching were: “A Christmas Detour” and “Love by Design”. Each leading woman had a vision board seeking direction in completing important events in her life. While I think this is commendable, one should only seek vision and direction from the Bible, God’s word. Place His words throughout a vision board.

In the Bible, the Psalmist David wrote the most beautiful prose describing his relationship with the Lord. One can easily place a picture with most of the Psalms penned by David. The Psalms is one of my favorite books in the Bible. Good devotional reading.

Even though I am 72, I thought about creating a vision board for 2024. Placing favorite scripture and pictures of my grandkids and what the hopes and prayers are for them for the new year.

Starting now would be good. I’ll make it so it’s a manageable size to keep in a photo album or frame for my bedroom end table. I’ll transcribe the steps for it and then publish its completion. Need to find some cute text to cut and use from old magazines with nostalgic photos too.

A Vision Board helps keep a positive focus on Jesus in a world that’s spinning out of control.
