"Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them" (Hebrews 11:16).
Father's Day. It's a time to celebrate and honor our dads, living or deceased. I was fortunate to have a wonderful dad. My husband Pat is a terrific dad. So I am thankful.
Prayer: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Psalm 103:13: "As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him."
