Keep Steady During Times of Worry

Psalm 55:22 says, "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken". "In this verse, the psalmist David encourages people to rely on God to carry their burdens and keep them steady during times of worry."

With Father's Day just celebrated, I'd like to tell this little story similar to Dr. David Jeremiah's message the other day.

During a flight, a plane was getting ready to fly through turbulence, so the pilot came on the speaker and told the passengers to fasten their seat belts.

A few moments later the pilot came on again and told the passengers drinks would not be served. It was then the plane raised in altitude quickly with a sudden plunge downward, making all the passengers squirming and very uneasy, all but one little girl who kept reading her book quite calmly. This intrigued a fellow passenger who was a pastor and one of them who was worried during the flight as well.

When the plane finally landed, the pastor rushed over to the little girl and said, "When we were experiencing all that turbulence on the plane, you were the only one who remained calm. Why was that?"

"Easy," she answered. "My dad is the pilot and I knew he'd get me home safely."

Never worry, just "bee" happy.
