Matthew 18:12 NIV “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?”
Are audience numbers important to a designated speaker? Well, having been there I can tell you it means a lot, but it is not everything.
When we were planning the “Beauty from the Inside Out” event with Jennifer O’Neill at Cedarville University. I really thought we could fill Jeremiah Chapel! Yep, I really believed it. But, it was not to happen. We did fill Recital Hall, but not the Chapel. Does that mean our event was not worthy? Of course not! Even if one person got something from Jennifer’s message, that’s all that mattered.
I remember what Pastor Greenwood said. If there was only one person who showed up at any service, he would still give his message as directed by the Holy Spirit. One is just as important as a million. Remember, Jesus gave the parable about the lost sheep. A man had one hundred sheep. He left ninety-nine sheep in search of the one that was lost.
So in regard to readers here on the Blog, we often get hundreds of hits from a particular devotion and on other devotions, not so much. Really it doesn’t matter. We are here to write what God places on our hearts in our lives.
Many of you experience what we experience but maybe don’t have the venue to share. Lynn and I do. We can write about our experiences and find that many readers relate. It’s all about sharing what the Lord does in our lives. Let’s spread the good news!
