Psalm 8:3 from The Bible says, “When I consider Your heavens and the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You, (The Living, True Creator, God) have set in place”
It was very interesting when USA Today reported that a series of strong solar flares from the sun could cause the Northern Lights, the Aurora Borealis to be seen by several states in the USA. Some blessed Americans did have that amazing opportunity over the weekend.
A family member from Indiana showed a breathtaking view of the sky from her own backyard.

Fantastically, Northern Lights were seen at Norris Lake, Tennessee.Other atypical views entertained spectators in different parts of our country Friday and Saturday.
Dazzling Northern Lights, what causes them? The Northern Lights, referred to as the Aurora Borealis, are a gorgeous shimmering array of lights caused by “charged particles from the sun hitting gases in the Earth’s atmosphere. They occur around the North Pole when the solar wind carrying the particles interacts with the Earth’s magnetic field. “Picture the sun having a really big sneeze,” explained Affaelia Wibisono, from the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, emitting this huge cloud of particles, the coronal mass ejections. The article by the BBC in science news says, “Sometimes the Northern Lights are scarlet. This is the color seen when oxygen is energized by solar particles at very high altitudes.”
Scientists say the best is yet to come. More showy performances of the Northern Lights are expected throughout the coming year. July 2025 scientists anticipate will be the best month to see it. This is thanks to all the solar flares scientists say will continue.
Always in awe of God’s handiwork, as I enjoy coffee and stay amazed.
Psalm 105:2 from The Bible says, “Sing to Him, sing praises to Him, tell of all His wondrous works.”
How Great Thou Art is a hymn which reflects how we feel about the Creator and His examples of artistry that fill the world we live in.
The first verse says,
“O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made.
I see the stars
I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout The universe displayed.”
The chorus follows with,
“Then sings my soul
My Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art
How great Thou art”
Together let’s consider all the ways He, ( The Living, True Creator, God) is great as we go about our day and God shines His Northern Lights.
