Friends Who Are There for Me

Yeah, I’ve been fortunate to have friends who encourage me. I also enjoy the writings of an encourager Liz Curtis Higgs. On Facebook Liz has a podcast, “Grace Every Monday” which I enjoy very much. You should tune in. I think you’d like it too.

Back to my personal friends who are encouragers. During the years of publishing, “On a Mission Magazine” in addition to Lynn Berna, I have a friend Dottie Mounts who writes wonderful, uplifting articles and it was like she could read my mind. She’d always send in her articles before I wrote mine. I couldn’t believe it. Half the time, she would write about something that was on my mind and heart. Her stories gave me so much encouragement.

That’s the way I feel about Lynn Berna. She writes with such intent and has a gift of giving that much needed help in time of need. Just like when we need prayer, we need to go to the “throne of grace”. Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

The greatest of all encouragers is the Lord Jesus. Reading His Word calms me and gives me the peace needed to live this life every day. Whether I repeat topics in this Blog doesn’t matter. What matters most are the words penetrate my mind and heart just like what a good friend does.

So thank you to my many friends that I am so fortunate to have!
