Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on.”
Do we have it? Food obsession. I’m not quite sure, but it seems like right after our breakfast meal my husband asks, “what’s for dinner?” What? I have no idea! Give me a break!
I try to come up with new food ideas. Recipes that are easy and for two people. That’s really turning into a real meal ordeal. Lord help me!
I turn to the Internet, Google. Google me up a meal…I ask, like Google is my food genie.
Just this morning my husband asks, “what are we going to have for dinner?”
“Are you serious? Can’t you see I’m hard at work at my computer?” answering, being just a little perturbed (with a smile).
“Just making sure you don’t forget your husband.” He quipped.
“No way! I could never forget you, my dear!” This is where I ended his food quest about dinner.
Am I the only wife whose husband has continual thoughts about food? Maybe we should start swapping recipes for two. Yes! All the retired (empty nesters) share their easy, favorite meal recipes, preferably crock pot ones as I don’t want to stand stirring over the stove.
Have I decided what’s for dinner? No, but it will come to me in the final hour. I know…let’s call “Carry-Out!”
Here’s to better meal planning to stop that annoying food obsession!
